COOKIES POLICY

In accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR) and the legislation in force from time to time on the protection of personal data, Gardant Investor SGR Società di Gestione del Risparmio S.p.A. in its capacity as data controller (hereinafter, also, the “Company” or the “Data Controller”), intends to provide users with all the most useful information regarding the cookies installed on the www.gardantsgr.eu (hereinafter the “Website”).

WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are small text strings that the websites visited by the user send to the computer and to any device used to access the Internet (such as smartphones and tablets), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit by the same user.

Cookies can be stored permanently and have a variable duration (so-called persistent cookies), but they can also disappear when the browser is closed or have a limited duration (so-called session cookies). Similarly, cookies can be installed by the site you are visiting (so-called first-party cookies), but also by other websites (so-called third-party cookies) and are used to perform computer authentication, session monitoring and storage of information regarding the activities of users who access a particular site. Based on the purpose of use, they are divided into:

  • Navigation and functionality cookies: used respectively for authentication purposes and to improve the user experience (e.g. storage of language preferences);
  • Analytical cookies: used by the site manager to collect information on users who visit it;
  • Profiling cookies: used for advertising purposes to send messages in line with user preferences collected while browsing the web;
  • Social Cookies: used to allow interaction with social networks.

According to current legislation, it is not necessary to obtain the user’s consent for the installation of “technical” cookies, i.e. aimed exclusively at the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network.

As per the general provision of the Italian Data Protection Authority (the “Guarantor”), the following must be considered technical:

  • navigation and functionality cookies;
  • analytical cookies, only when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate and anonymous form, on the number of users and the ways in which they visit the site itself.

FIRST-PARTY COOKIES

The Site uses the following types of first-party technical cookies:

  • Session cookies: essential to allow the user to move normally within the Site and correctly use the related services. Since they are not stored on the user’s computer, they disappear when the browser is closed;
  • Functionality cookies: aimed solely at improving and speeding up navigation on the Site, through the storage of certain choices made by the user (such as language preferences).

These are therefore tools used by the Data Controller to ensure, for example, efficient browsing, session stability, log-in permanence and pre-selection of the optioned browsing country. They also serve to remember the choices made by the user regarding the display of certain elements of the page, such as information and communication banners.

As already specified, the use of technical cookies and the performance of the processing related to them does not require the user’s prior consent.

In any case, the latter remains entitled to prevent the installation of such cookies at any time through the settings of their browser, in the knowledge that such a choice could however complicate, slow down and sometimes block navigation on the Site and, more generally, on the Internet.

THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

The Site also uses cookies that are not managed and controlled by the Data Controller, as they belong to third parties. More specifically, these are:

Analytical cookies

Google Analytics cookies, for which suitable tools have been adopted to reduce the identifying power of analytical cookies (for example, by masking significant portions of the IP address) through which information is collected on how users use the Site (number of visitors, pages visited, time spent, conversions, etc.). This information is generally used to improve the functionality of the Site, allowing, for example, to record any errors detected by users and thus ensure them a smoother and more immediate navigation.

To disable the installation of these cookies, please follow the procedures indicated in the following links:

LIST OF COOKIES

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website, when visited by a user, asks the browser to store it on the device to remember the user’s information, such as the preferred language or login details. These cookies are set by us and are called first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies – which are cookies from a domain other than the domain of the website you are visiting – for our advertising and marketing efforts. In particular, we use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary for the operation of the site and cannot be turned off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions you take that constitute a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling out forms. You can set your browser to block or warn you about these cookies, but as a result some parts of the site will not work. These cookies do not store any personal information.

USER RIGHTS

The user may exercise the rights recognized by the legislation on the protection of personal data at any time. In particular, you will have the right to obtain the updating, correction or integration of your data, as well as to object to the processing if there are legitimate reasons.

The user may exercise his rights by writing to: dpo@dovalue.it

For all other information on the collection and processing of personal data, please refer to the Privacy Policy of the Website.
